About Dena Ceramics
Dena Ceramics is the studio practice of a London-based architect who turned ceramic artist Dena Haghsay.
Guided by years in architecture and design, Dena now works exclusively with clay, translating personal memories and imagined landscapes into tactile pieces.
A Practice Rooted in Story
From Tehran to Istanbul to London, Dena’s life across three cultures shapes her work. She pairs Eastern philosophy with Western modernism, layering ancient motifs over contemporary forms and colour palettes. Every vessel or sculpture is a “momentary daydream” in clay, open-ended enough for viewers to project their own stories.
Architectural Precision, Handmade Freedom
Proportion, negative space and material honesty ground each piece.
Hand-building, carving and experimental glazing invite chance and surprise.
All work is crafted in her London Thames-Side studio, ensuring every piece is singular.
Why It Matters
Hold a piece, trace its curves and discover the narrative it unlocks.
