Rupture and Repair
From the series Attachment
Stoneware, hand-built and textured, 2021
Emerging from the language of attachment theory, Rupture and Repair reflects on the inevitability of fractures within human connection and the quiet, often imperfect work of mending. The torn and gathered surface holds tension between vulnerability and resilience, absence and restoration.
Hand-built in textured stoneware and left unglazed, the material itself speaks of endurance and memory, each mark and fold embodying the silent traces of disruption and the quiet strength of repair.
